Breathwork is the use of guided or mindful breathing techniques for the purpose of releasing pain from the mind, the emotional body or the physical body.
When all else is too much or is unclear, there is the breath. Just breathe.
By using different techniques to either slow down, speed up or regulate the breath in a safe and controlled manner, one can initiate a release or re-patterning of stress or trauma.
Breathwork can be done while seated or while lying down, however, most clients find it is most comfortable to do while lying down.
Because this type of energetic healing is very introspective, it can bring up many different types of issues or questions for self-exploration. Note that this work is not psychotherapy and is not meant to be a replacement for psychotherapy.
